Also responsible for ordering all the necessary equipment and cables. This OC192 Network is comprised of CIENA DWDM CoreStream OTS & OADM as backbone architecture with a mixture of CISCO ONS15454 & JUNIPER M40e, T320’s & T640’s handling both classified and unclassified data. Classified data is encrypted by the use of HAIPE’s. Interim Top Secret Clearance obtained 03/01/2005.

 

AT&T, Dayton - New Jersey 03/2000 – 03/2005

v       Senior Network Engineer: Engineered over 400 Moves Adds Changes and Disconnects (MACD’s) for the Legacy Frame and Omnilan WAN included all rack elevations, connectivity, and power for CO and Customer Premises, utilizing AutoCAD and Visio. Provided telemetry to all customer premises devices back to the DATA NCC in Dayton NJ. Managed resources to maintain Local Network Services ATM and Frame Relay Network, Transparent LAN Services, and Ethernet Switch Services – Metro. Responsible for End 2 End ordering, provisioning, and implementation on all of the above platforms, including configuration of Cisco Catalyst 6513 Switches as well as Extreme Summit 5i, 48i, and 48si for the MAN GIG-E platform. Engineered and Configured Alcatel Omni Switches for Transparent LAN Services. Engineered a new Data Services Node for the City of San Diego including all necessary rack elevations and power assignments in AutoCAD the Data Node consisted of 2 Marconi ATM ASX1000 and 1 Lucent BSTDK9000 as well as the necessary Telemetry routers removed the necessary equipment from a location not serving any customers to save $300K in new equipment costs. Constructed a R&D laboratory environment for proof of concept testing and staging for deployment of Gigabit Ethernet, a solution for replacing, Local ATM and Transparent LAN services.

v       Project Manager: CerfNet migration to AT&T WorldNet. Used extensive project management and organizational skills, record keeping, utilization of, Access, Excel and Word, submitted contracts to ASR. Responsible for Carrier invoice remediation. Audited Local Network Services carrier invoices and investigated which circuits were unused and issued disconnect orders. In cases where circuits were still in use, worked to implement a migration plan to move these circuits onto AT&T facilities. Resulted in yearly savings to AT&T of $22M. National On - Net Tail Migration, Customer facing to migrate access circuits from various LEC facilities to AT&T LNS facilities. Circuit research and remediation of unused T1 – T3 access circuits. Utilizing TIRKS, POCITS, and SOTS ongoing process to reduce $32Billion in access charges. Logistics Control Manager Managed inventory control including purchasing and vendor negotiation, Maintained extensive record keeping requirements and conducted research.
